There are a lot of 3D printers out there, and what's going to best work for you largely depends on your use-case. Our team of experts has experience consulting and problem solving in the manufacturing process and can help you determine if what you want to do is doable, and choose the right tool of for the job. A few questions to consider if you're looking at getting into 3D printing:
- What environment are the parts I want to make going to be in? Will they be exposed to high temperatures? Will they be exposed to chemicals?
- What sort of force is going to be put on these parts? Are they models or for display? Or are they functional parts that will be under strain and stress in use?
- How large are the parts I intend to make? What degree of accuracy is needed?
- How many parts am I making? Am I making a large number of identical parts, or a smaller quantity of custom parts?
If you're looking at making more complicated prints, particularly shapes that might benefit from dissolvable supports, the UltiMaker S-Series printers may be a good place to start, with different sizes depending on your needs, and over 280 compatible materials.
If you're looking to print extremely high temperature resistant objects, or extremely soft ones, you may want to look at the UltiMaker Factor 4.
If you're needing to print extremely small, but detailed items, you may want to look for a resin printer. Many resins aren't very strong, but you can get great detail.
Our team is happy to explore your use-case for the machine and help find what's going to be the best fit for your. We can be reached here or by phone at 866-668-8919.
